Astronaut Charles Camarda from NASA visited the School of Computing at UEF last month. Part of the agenda included a meet up with the students involved in the first round of the eCraft2Learn pilot activities. Project members at UEF introduced the overall eCraft2Learn project, its pedagogical methodology, the inclusion of technology for demystification through project-based learning as well as a brief view of the technical core, the Unified User Interface and its functionalities. Students were really excited to re-program their projects on the spot and to show their creations! Charles was also very positive about the project results linking the methodological processes to some of the stages in the ICED methods that they use at NASA. UEF is furthermore working with NASA for the Epic Challenge Project: www.epicchallengejoensuu.com/en/
